Stillwater Reservoir conflict Provided by Maggie Williams & Peter Williams, University of Liverpool Classroom activity Description:

This resource is an activity that simulates the roles played by various interested parties when the siting of a reservoir is the subject of a public enquiry. The activity is designed to help students:
• appreciate the importance of geology to society
• develop their knowledge and understanding of the practicalities of siting a reservoir.
• learn how to use and synthesise data to develop an argument and
• realise that, as in many real-life instances, there is no ‘right answer’ but a best compromise
