Description:
Maths project based learning resources
· Subject: Maths
· Aimed at: KS4 GCSE lessons
· Contents: 3 lessons, teaching plan, worksheets
· Concepts covered: Graph work, Density, Geometry, Standard Form and Proportion
Allows students to apply graph skills, and mathematical concepts required at GCSE level to real data about planets within the solar system focusing on changes of internal structure. Recommended to run over 3 lessons in small student groups, ending with presentation of a scientific “poster” allowing practice of key “soft skills”. such as presentation and team work.
